ELMO, Mo. - The Nodaway County Sheriff's Office says an Elmo resident has been charged after deputies found methamphetamine inside a residence.

An investigation began when deputies received allegations of illegal drug sales in the area. Deputies served a search warrant at 46-year-old Mary Hayden's home on Tuesday.

A bag containing a crystal substance was found and field tested positive for meth. Hayden was charged Wednesday with delivery of a controlled substance and taken to custody, but was later released on bond.
